I spent last Friday geocaching around a trail for a small ammo can cache. What you see at the top is both the contents of the ammo can and the path leading in it’s general direction. My car broke down at the entrance to the park, so what did I do? Check and see if their were in any caches on my phone AP Sure enough, there was one about 0.2 miles away.
The problem with Eastern Pennsylvania geocaching is the non-stop rains we’ve experienced as of late. And, as you can see, they have no small effect on the growth of plant life around these parts. What kind of plants do real well in wet weather? Ornamental roses, of which there is no shortage. So to get to ground zero can involve a carefully stepping over thorny bushes. These roses grab at you just going past them on the trail. To step off the trail is to enter their territory.
Found the cache just as my tow truck driver phoned me. And I made it back to the car just as he was pulling in.
